The University of Tartu is the leading research university in Estonia and the only Estonian-language universitas – comprehensive university – in the world. Its competitive advantages are internationality, the quality of teaching and research, and diversity. The university, re-opened as the Estonian-language University of Tartu in 1919, at the beginning of the Republic of Estonia, laid the foundations for Estonian-language higher education and created a community of national intellectuals, who have a significant role in the development of the Estonian state, society and culture.
AI Leap
The launch of AI Leap has been supported by President Alar Karis, the Presidential Digital Advisory Council, the Minister of Education and Research and ministry representatives, the Ministry’s AI Council, several universities, and private-sector partners.
Thousands of people contribute to this co-creative program: schools and school leaders, teachers and students, educational psychologists, researchers in education, neuroscience, IT, and pedagogy, universities, technology and education experts, teacher and youth organizations, as well as entrepreneurs and technology companies.
